Cool Access is a personal technology suite designed to provide network access, efficient and effective use of existing technology, personal time and money savings and an opportunity for system subscribers to convert computer use into money. The coordination and convergence of all the technologies and sevices referred to below is possible through the cool.CA personal technology suite.

1. Cool Access (Cross-Platform Gateway)

Cool Access celebrates diversity and supports all species of communication, regardless of environment. The Cool Access Gateway will provide Cross-Platform Access to WAP, iMODE, TDMA, CDMA, GSM, 802.11b, Bluetooth, HomeRF (personal area network) and others standards as they evolve.

Cool Access is SIMPLE, USEFUL, PERSONAL, SECURE

a.) SIMPLE - Cool Access will use existing technology and standard interfaces. Basic options for users, based on real needs and actual use, not blue-sky possiblities and hype.

b.) USEFUL - With Cool Access, checking or sending e-mail, consulting personal agenda, downloading games, books, music or images won't require multiple instruments or gateways. The Cool Access mini-portal will translate web documents to your platform and permit you to share files peer to peer through the cool.CA

c.) PERSONAL - Cool Access is independent. Your Lifetime e-mail - "yourname@cool.CA" - re-directed to any ISP/mobile service desired. Each Cool Access account includes a personal Webfolio for your CV, portfolio or business brochure.

d.) SECURE - If you choose, Cool Access will protect you from Location Based Advertising (Air Spam), turn off/on cookies or encrypt messages if you desire. Mobile commerce becomes a convienient reality through your cell phone or PDA, using Cool Cash as a digital wallet.

2. Cool Access Network (P2P)

The essence of P2P networking is the ability to share information or computing resources among all computers linked to a network without reference to a central server. Napster used P2P technology to share music files. Before the advent of the web, we all "ftp´d" files between computers, which is the underlying techonology of the Internet and "peer to peer" networking.
Cool Access=P2P access.
P2P is like direct-dialing a telephone. The directory will give you the phone number, but you do not need to involve the operator when making your call. Cool Access Gateway will be a first stop for those using the Cool Access Network, with exchange links to personal relationship and matchmaking sites, video streaming, music files, games and B2B services.

3. The cool.CAtalog (advertiser database)

Cool Access "members" will access cool.CAtalog for discounts and special promotions for e-commerce and m-commerce activities. A catalogue of catalogues, the cool search function will find products and services available to cool.CA members on a preferential cost and service basis.

4. Certified Cool (cross-promotion and loyalty program)

Similar to the #333 (tm) business model, Advertising Sponsors and Cool Catalogue participants will place the "Certified coolCA" in their print and broadcast advertising, Cool Access will direct respondents to appropriate promotion via live web call centre.

5. Cool Cash - Digital Wallet (Cash)

In association with major telco´s, purchases using the Cool Cash Digital Wallet, whether from a soft-drink machine or for a taxi ride to the airport, will be added to the customer's phone bill. An estimated 21 Billion dollars will transact via mobile devices by 2004.

6. 3B Youth Marketing/ Employment Program (Jobs)

The 3B program, "Be Cool, Buy Cool and Boost Cool" is a non-profit youth employment initiative to give young people access to the digital economy and an income opportunity for promoting it. 3B Program participants will sell advertising and digital services in their local communities using subsidized "Cool Access M-Commerce Kits" (Wireless-enabled PDA, Cool Access Subscription, ID Card, Business Cards)

In summary, the Cool Access Personal Technology System is a holistic approach to address the emotional and financial needs of consumers. Simple systems are the key - Keep access uncomplicated, in one place, with one cool concept, including the cool opportunity for users to make more money with the technology than they spend supporting it.
